Relaxing at the Sky Circle in Keji Dark Sky Preserve

Sky Circle

Every year, we celebrate the Dark Sky Preserve in Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site by holding a Dark Sky Weekend in August. In 2014, we caught the rise of the Perseid meteor shower over two nights of spectacularly clear and dark skies. We estimate that over 500 people took in some part of the activities, and the RASC volunteers worked hard to please them. At the end of the night, in the wee hours, Liverpool photographer Chris Green captured us, unwinding after the crowds left, with the Park's 10" telescope in the foreground.
